QR Platinum Q credits for upgrade
Hi,
I'm thinking of using my Q credits for my next flight
Flight from MAN to DOH (Economy to Business)
Can you waitlist for upgrade? (if there's no upgrade space at time of booking)
Do you have to pay additional tax or fuel surcharge once the upgrade are confirmed?

But, when I've done it, I just get the upgrade, no additional charges.
And if you happen to be platinum, it even gets you into al-Safwa lounge, although that would seem not to apply here, since you are trying to upgrade into DOH, not out of DOH.
The rather annoying thing for me - my typical flight is Southeast Asia to Europe, I get 60 Qcredits a year, and to upgrade both segments, requires 61

But you are aware that Qcredits are about to be replaced by Keys, so the whole system will probably change?
