Alcohol during ramadan.

I am flying in 1st DXB-DOH on the 25th September during ramadan. Does any one know if alcohol will be served in the lounge in Dubai or on the flight ? I dont want to sound like an alcoholic but Im blowing the budget for this short flight and would really like it to be full service. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have flown before during Ramadan on QR. No difference to other times, both on the ground and in the air. The only difference is that they will announce the time the sun sets on the ground for those who fast.

Note the lounge in DXB is a shared lounge and governed by their policies. In past years at DOH lounges, I've noticed that they do not put food out during the day until sunset.

On board, I recall no difference in service.

IIRC in the lounge it was hidden and you had to specifically ask for it.

In the lounge in the Premium terminal at DOH, no alcohol served during Ramadan. Food is out at the usual times but only in the dining area. On board service as usual.

In the shared lounge in DXB, food out as usual and you can get alcohol if you ask for it.

AFAIK it will either be 30th Sept or 1st Oct. FWIW, Eid is quite a nice time to be in Dubai.

Cheers,
