Arriving LAX-SIN 325am... any taxis?

I'll be taking LAX-SIN that arrives very early in the morning. Does anyone have experience if there are taxis at that time? Or should I book ahead?

You shouldn't have a problem. I do UA803 NRT-SIN from time to time and it usually arrives 1:00 am or so. Last week, it arrived 3:00 am and there was no wait for a taxi at all. Just walked up to the queue.

In Singapore expecially at the airport it should not be an issue at that time.

If it's just you traveling and want to save a bit of money you can try taking the airport limousine bus which is S$9/head. They drop you off at any of the hotels in the city.

Check with the ground transport desk at the arrivals hall.

With taxis so reasonable and reliable in SIN, I don't think OP would want to lug his bags on to the airport limousine bus at 3 in the morning. Also, I guess the shuttle runs every half or one hour, so he may have to wait for it too, and it will make stops at various hotels before dropping him off at his hotel.

Just giving a heads up for his consideration. Ultimately it's his choice.

Yup. If there is a shortage, there is a system in place which actually informs taxi drivers that taxis are needed at the airport.

I had never ever encountered a shortage of taxis at Changi.

True, but mindful of the inordinate amount of surcharges imposed by taxis operating after midnight departing Changi...

Although after the cab's $3 surcharge for airport pickups and the 50% late night surcharge, the limousine doesn't sound like a bad option. Either way, definitely no issue getting a taxi at this time. Noone else in SIN outside of the airport is trying to get one anyway (unless it's Fri or Sat night).

Yes, at all other times taxis are nearly a no-brainer departing Changi, even for one person in my mind. But, when my plane reached the gate at about 5:20AM one time, let's just say my sometimes cheap self was not in any particular rush to get off the plane or through immigration . Minor savings, but I wasn't in a hurry to arrive where I was headed.

I wish Changi had arrival lounges where one could take a shower, change, and have a breakfast before heading off to the city!!!

PPS (or is it PPS solitaire?) can use SKL as an arrivals lounge when arriving on SQ.

PPS Solitaire, applies to arrivals on SQ or MI and can bring in a guest traveling on the same flight.

Or, one of the Pay-in/ Priority Pass lounges..i frequently head for a quick shower before heading to work direct, never had a problem with my Priority Pass + inbound boarding pass, though the last time around I was asked what time my outbound flight was..'In 2hrs 10 mins ' was all it took to sate their curiosity.
