Conversly, for a 4-night stay one would get 7 spg points per $ spent? Provided that they are registered for the SPG quarterly promo and booking through the above link ... am I on the right track here?

per the FAQ
How many Starpoints do I earn for double-, triple- or quadruple-earning stays?
A member will earn 4 total Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent for stays awarded double Starpoints, 6 total Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent for triple Starpoints, and 8 total Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent for quadruple Starpoints. Elite members will continue to earn their 50% Starpoints bonus off their base earnings; this equals an extra Starpoint per US$1 spent.
It was always 2 points per $ to begin with so...@ 4 nights you get 8 per $ (from starwood) plus 6 per $ (from PA) plus the elite bonus of 1 per $...
is it really a combined 15 per $ ???????
Now someone needs to check MY math!

"If the guest stays and meets the criteria for the FLYERT offer we have loaded (s)he will receive the points and if (s)he registers for the DTQ (Q1) offer and meets the criteria for that (s)he will also get those points."
We hope that answers the above question!
Best regards,

Please ignore this post and refer to the one 3 posts down
Just to clarify further, below is a possible scenario:
- Member John has $100 USD eligible revenue.
- Member John is a Platinum SPG Member.
- He earns 300 base points for the stay
- Multiply 3 x 300 (base Starpoints earned for the stay) = 900
- Then take 900-300= 600 bonus pts the triple pts part of the Q1 offer.
- 600 x 3 = 1’800 points for FlyerTalk
- So for the entire stay, the member will earn 2’700 points

You are giving triple points for all earned base starpoints (excludes the 1 pt/elite bonus for dollar spent).
Thus let me paint this scenario.
I say 4 nights and each night (on BAR) is $150 usd total. Thus I would get 2 starpoints normally for a total of 600 starpoints. But with the FT special only (not spg promo) I would get triple this, thus 1800 starpoints correct?
Now the SPG promo will give quad points on anything 4 nights or more. Thus I would have earned 600 base starpoints in my above example on 2 starpoints per dollar spent. Thus the SPG promo would give me 2400 starpoints correct?
I would get my 1 extra starpoint per dollar spent as usual for elites and pick up 600 more.
I would get my 500 point platinum amenity.
If I pay with spg am ex I would get 600 times 2 for 1200 more.
thus my total would be the following
PA promo total starpoints=1800
SGP promo starpoints=2400
elite bonus =600
plat amenity=500
spg am ex=1200
Total =6500 SPG points for 4 nights and $600 spend
Is this correct?

"Revised example:
Spends $100 per night – total nights = 2
Total spend $200
Regular SPG points earned
2 points per dollar = 400 (base Starpoints)
50% Platinum Bonus = 200
Bonuses applied:
SPG More Nights = More Rewards: Double Points: 400 * 1 = 400
FlyerTalk Triple Points Offer: 400 * 2 = 800
1,800 Starpoints
Only base points are included for the bonus. The Platinum 50% bonus i.e. the third point is not included.
When you say Triple points bonus it means that the total points earned for the stay including the base + bonus is triple the amount normally earned.
i.e.:
FlyerTalk:
Base: 400 + Bonus 800 = 1200"

Actually, we have to correct ourselves (sorry!):
"Revised example:
Spends $100 per night – total nights = 2

Regular SPG points earned
2 points per dollar = 400 (base Starpoints)
50% Platinum Bonus = 200

triple the 400 base points earned = 1200 for the FT special
SPG is doubling the base points as part of their more nighs/rewards promo which will be 400 doubled = 800 points from the SPG promo
The Elite bonus is 200 points since that is 50% of the 400 base points.
Thus $200 spend on a 2 night stay will yield the following:
FT special triple points on base starpoints = 1200
SPG promo of doubling 2 night stay = 800
elite bonus = 200
Thus we should have 2200 correct?
Count the platinum amenity for 500 more to get to 2700?
Thanks I think it is correct.

OK let me see if I get this right.
You are giving triple points for all earned base starpoints (excludes the 1 pt/elite bonus for dollar spent).
Thus let me paint this scenario.

I would get my 500 point platinum amenity.
If I pay with spg am ex I would get 600 times 2 for 1200 more.
thus my total would be the following
PA promo total starpoints=1800
SGP promo starpoints=2400
elite bonus =600
plat amenity=500
spg am ex=1200
Total =6500 SPG points for 4 nights and $600 spend
Is this correct?

Is this correct?
4 nights * $150/night = $600
- $600 = 1200 base Starpoints
- Elite bonus = 600 Starpoints
- Quadruple for 4 night stay [brings the stay to quadruple, not another 4X] 1200 * 3 = 3600 Starpoints
- Triple for FT promo [brings the stay to triple, not another 3X] 1200 * 2 = 2400 Starpoints
- SPG Amex at SPG property 2 * 1200 = 2400 Starpoints
- Plat amenity = 500 Starpoints
Total 1200 + 600 + 3600 + 2400 + 2400 + 500 = 10700 Starpoints for a $600 spend.
This is the same at the PA lurker example above but with the Plat Amenity and the Amex points.

I think it is more like this:
4 nights * $150/night = $600
Total 1200 + 600 + 3600 + 2400 + 2400 + 500 = 10700 Starpoints for a $600 spend.
4 nights * $150/night = $600
- $600 = 1200 base Starpoints
- Elite bonus = 600 Starpoints
- Quadruple for 4 night stay [brings the stay to quadruple, not another 4X] 1200 * 3 = 3600 Starpoints
- Triple for FT promo [brings the stay to quadruple, not another 4X] 1200 * 2 = 2400 Starpoints
- SPG Amex at SPG property 2 * 1200 = 2400 Starpoints
- Plat amenity = 500 Starpoints
Total 1200 + 600 + 3600 + 2400 + 2400 + 500 = 10700 Starpoints for a $600 spend.
OK the spg promo quadruples the base starpoints right? 1200 * 4 = 4800
PA promo triples the base starpoints so 1200 * 3 = 3600
Elite bonus of 600 points which is 50% of 1200 base.
SPG am ex 1200 * 2 = 2400
plat amenity = 500
4800+3600+600+2400+500=11900
We are off by 1200 where? Am I counting the base starpoints twice I think? Once for spg and once for PA, when I should just count it once?
