Sheraton San Marcos Resort (Phoenix Area)
Are there any comments about this property. Upon searching, the only comment I could find was that "the rooms aren't that great."
Anyway, I'm staying there for one night next week courtesy of Priceline.com and was wondering if anyone could offer any comments. I'm SPG Gold, for what it's worth.
Also, any FlyerTalkers out that way? Dining recommendations are appreciated, along with any hints about what to do for about half a day in the area. The day I leave PHX, I have until about 1:30 to waste time. Thanks.

I have never stayed here, but have contemplated doing so a number of times over the years. I consistently see this hotel offering rock bottom prices either via web deals or Priceline and that scares me. I have also read hotel reviews elsewhere that indicated a less than great experience. Please post a review following your stay to set the record straight. Good luck!

I stayed here two days this past summer. Not the greatest rooms, but it does have a nice pool and golf course. The Adobe Grill across the street is great. The prices are very low. $99 for a room and 18 holes. There are much, much better properties in the area (including two new Starwood properties) but the price will probably double. The next time I'm in the area, I'll pay the extra $.

Thanks for the links. I always forget about those archives!
Edited to remove positive comments regarding Priceline.com's customer service. They backed out of a promise they made, in writing, to modify a reservation. Oh, well.
