sheraton towers
As I am only staying 1 night do you think it would be better to book a standard room or book a room on the executive floor with access to the lounge. I am on set budget for my forthcoming trip to and will be travelling about around Melbourne and then onto Cairns. Any advice again I would appreciate. Thanks.

Your post subject makes it difficult to determine which hotel you are talking about since there are many Sheraton Towers in the world. But then you reference the city of Melbourne in the post, so I assume that's what you mean....
The lounge at the Melbourne Sheraton(Southgate) has a very good breakfast with a lot of selections. So, if the rate isn't significantly higher, than I'd do it. Anything more than $20-$30AUD might be too much, though, to justify if you're on a tight budget.
