Post duplicate reservation online - solution?

I seem to have booked the same reservation twice, my ISP was acting up and I guess a page reload sent the reservation request twice.

Should I just email the hotel directly about this and ask for a cancellation...? Im a little worried because this was an internet only, no cancellation possible rate, etc.

I would normally contact my Platinum Concierge for this, but I still dont have one...

I'd call customer service and explain the situation to them. Can't imagine they won't help take care of it. Good luck

Thanks. I found a link on the website and emailed them... that should hopefully do the trick. ^

Gaucho100K, I hope you have better luck with their customer service emails than most people have recently. Seems like they are not responding as quickly or as effectively as they used to (when they even respond at all ). Hope it all works out for you.

Just call up the hotel, they should be able to take care of it right away, no fuzz, no hassle. I've done it.

Why don't you go online and cancel? I do it all the time especially when they come up with new promotions that state reservations must be made after registration for a particular promotion. Just go to "Check Reservations" and for the duplicate reservation, go to "view details" and hit cancellation. They will give you a "cancellation number" for your records.

In situations like this, I call. (Are you out of the country, is that why you don't want to call?)

Gaucho100K, spg does have toll free numbers in Latin America, and specifically Argentina. If you don't get a reply for your email, you might wish to call them instead?

Yes, this is the solution when you are on a rate that may be cancelled. Some rates are internet only, fully prepaid, not possible to cancel, etc. etc. I booked one of those rates, hence, even though I cancelled, I will still (probably) get charged if I dont follow up.

Thanks to all for your tips & help with this.

Yes, Im currently in CGK and therefore calling is not the best option. I will wait for a few days for them to answer my email, else I will contact the hotel directly.

it may not be your ISP.....
the new spg.com was not quite fully debugged yet. I think I might have made 3 or 4 duplicate reservations last night.... Let us know how it works out for you.

Why not? SPG even has a toll-free number from Indonesia: 0-800-123-5555

Thanks for this.... I honestly didnt know the number existed.

Just as an update on the double reservation, I emailed the hotel and got an immediate response. As for the spg website generic email, still no response...
