100 bonus starpoints - real or bogus?
I received this in my email:
"Dear MIKEY,
Ever wondered where you can find the latest information on
Starpoints® offers? Have questions about the benefits and
features of your Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card? Would you
like to add a Cardmember to your account or sign up to pay your
bills online? Now you can do all of these things at our new
Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card homepage at
http://www.americanexpress.com/spg.
And for a limited time only, if you enroll your Card at
http://www.americanexpress.com/spgenroll then visit our new web
page, you can earn 100 bonus Starpoints. So stop by, explore, and
learn about the world of possibilities open to you as a Cardmember!
..."
Anyway - I cicked on the link to enroll and the site that came up looks like the American Express site. However, I am suspicios because to enroll the site asks you for your credit card number and the 4 digit code printed on the card. Is this for real? Or is this some sort of credit card number stealing scam? Normally I will not enter a credit card number unless I am buying something from a site I trust. And since this smells like a scam, I am not sure.
What say you? Maybe Mr. Lurker knows something about this?

Thanks for the threads - I missed them somehow.
