Confirming masks aren't required onboard anymore

Read this OMMAT Article about how Swiss removed face mask requirements onboard as of April 1, 2022 ... wanted to confirm from recent passenger experiences this is true? I don't mind masks per se, but would love to be maskless when sleeping, especially in the J class lie flat. Thanks!

I can confirm masks are not mandatory on Swiss flights. I would still recommend to wear a good one (at least FFP2, but I would recommend FFP3), though, even when sleeping.

We've just flown back first class with Swiss from JNB, absolutely no mask requirements.

Thank you all for confirming! stucchimax - curious to why you recommend wearing one even when sleeping? I'm not horribly opposed to wearing a surgical mask when watching a movie for instance (as surgical masks are what we have as a standard in Singapore), but when sleeping, it's a bit uncomfortable ...

Just wear one or don't wear one. Your call. But the most important is to wear pants!

Serioulsy, even last summer when Canada still had a mask mandate very few people where wearing masks on long haul flights, staff included.
