You should connect with Makemytrip on US Toll Free 1-800-INDIA-10. They have good fares to India.Based on past experience, I had to fly out from JFK to Delhi urgently and found them to be the most helpful and reasonably priced.

Try Continental via Newark. As far as I can see that's about the only one where you only have to change in NY

Alternatively check AA or United - this will typically mean a change in NY and again somewhere in Europe

AA has a direct flight every day from ORD-DEL.

Just looked on Kayak.

Leaving today (3:30pm), you can do Delta TPA-DTW-AMS-DEL with the latter two on KLM for $1618.

If you only want one stop, you can do AA TPA-ORD-DEL in coach and DEL-ORD-TPA on AA (in business class) for $4628.

It's a fairly large country with many airports. Perhaps you should specify a city.

Maybe the OP is Indian and doesn't need one. We just don't know!

I am Indian but a US Citizen and a dual citizen so no need for visa. Also, flying from TPA to DEL. Forgot to mention this info. Thanks for the help.

Search on sidestep.com. It has great options on searching flights. You will have many options. All the best.
