A few summers ago NYC had an outdoor public "art" exhibit which consisted of pianos in fun designs and paint jobs. Anyone could play them, and they were scattered around, mostly throughout Central Park. I believe one of these pianos was at JFK or LGA (can't remember which). That was a temporary thing, but I remember thinking it was nice seeing someone playing piano at the airport.
