Anadolujet international flight carry-on baggage allowance: personal item
Anadolujet allows one piece of 23x40x55 cm and 8 kg as carry-on baggage. Do they also accept an additional 'personal item' such as a laptop or male handbag? For me their baggage rules do not specifiy very clearly if this 'personal item' is allowed in addition to the carry-on baggage or not. Also it is not mentioned what would be the maximum dimension/weights for the 'personal item'. And, do they check the carry-on luggage very exactly (like other low cost airlines) or is more like Turkish Airlines like? Any additional info/experience would be highly appreciated. Please also note that Anadolujet might makes a difference between domestic and international flights.

The carry-on allowance and the rules are the same among Turkish Airlines and AnadoluJet.

Thank you much ISTFlyer ! So, in addition to the carry-on baggage a personal item will be allowed (40x30x15 cm, no weight restriction indicated!).
But to be honest, even TK somehow is a bit inconsistent with the information concerning cabin baggage. On https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-i...ge-calculator/ on top they write: 'One piece of cabin baggage per passenger not to exceed 55x40x23 in size and 8 kg in weight and one personal item as bag per passenger not to exceed 40x30x15 in size can be taken on board in the Economy Class.' But if I calculate the cabin baggage allowance (e.g. IST-ZRH) it then says '1 CABIN BAGGAGE 55x40x23 cm (Width x Length x Height) Maximum 8 kg + 1 ACCESSORY (No larger than camera, telephone etc.)'. For me, a 'personal item' not exceeding 40x30x15 seems to be quite a bit larger than an 'accessory' 'no larger than a telephone'. But my experience says that the personal item definition works, so I hope it will be the same with Anadolujet.

I don't want to open a new thread because of my question:
Is it correct that Elite Miles and Smiles members are allowed to have an additional piece of check-in luggage for free with Anadolujet on international flights?

There is no pieced based baggage concept on AnadoluJet. It's weight based. However, Elite's do get +20kgs extra baggage allowance.

Hi all,
As a *Gold do you know if we still get the +20 KGs Baggage Allowance on Anadolujet if marketed as a TK flight number?
Secondly, are they pretty strict on the 8kg Carry-On Baggage (are they LCC?) or a little more relaxed much like TK?
Flight I am considering is CGN-SAW on a TK7773 flight number... I assume i'd get lounge access in LH Senator lounge in CGN (if thats open). Thanks!

Can someone provide a link that confirms this information as I am unable to find information on extra bagage allowance for MS elites on neither THY or Anadolu website. Im an Miles & Smiles Elite member travelling in eco on an international Anadolu flight (BRU-IST) and would like to check in more than the 20kg included in the ticket. Many thanks!

You can only benefit from the privileges in the table on flights operated by Turkish Airlines. These advantages may *not apply* to codeshare flights operated with other airlines.
Apologies in advance if Ive overlooked information elsewhere on that page (Im viewing it on a mobile device) or if AnadoluJet is not consider as other airline by THY.
