Interestingly enough, I meant 3-6-3. I meant it as hyperbole for a very simple reason...I somehow got confused and thought of the 767 as I was typing. 2-5-2 is 9 across, and yes of course there's room. (Hopefully won't happen and it'll be 8 across,) but yes there's room (as LOT is doing).

my mistake

It is 1-2-1 or 1-1-1, even NH's 77W staggered business is 1-2-1. If it is 2-3-2, the 77W wouldn't have a seating only 215 seats.

Anyone who flies lots of TPACs on economy fares would have to consider switching loyalty to NH.
Not sure if you aware since NH instroduce their "inspiration of Japan" theme, they had cut cost in many things especially in food offerings in Y. They only serve 1 full meal and 1 snack for any long haul routes, instead of 2 fulls meals and 1 snack like everybody do including UA and CO. The 2nd meal reduce to a snack, and free mid-flight snack become mid-flight snack for sale, and they are not cheap at all. Many people who have flown in Y recently all complain their food offerings in Y. So unless they are going to make the change, people actually would choose anything but NH.

Ain't gonna happen ... the washlets are set to turn off automatically if you are not on the seat (ie: they are pressure sensitive)

I assumed is preheated too.

This is the first time I read people actually preferred middle seat in an airplane.

But the pitch of the rows if you call it 1-2-1 is only 1/2 the regular pitch.

If you put the seats in 2-3-2 then stagger everyother seat then make the space under the arm rest narrower, then you get the configuration. You only loose a 1/2 of seat pitch at the bulk head. Subtracting the bulkhead stagger, then net is effectively 2-3-2 - a cleaver way of getting lie flat seats. Others use the same technique in various configurations with legs under a wide armrest.

That's pretty much the same config ANA has on its new 777s in business. As for UA/CO, I'd expect them to go for 2-3-2 in C with their dreaded UA business seat squished together to ensure no privacy!

Not sure how different the TPAC service is compared to TATL, but on the EWR-TLV flights, they do serve 2 meals in Y, dinner and arrivals breakfast (same on 91, but lunch and breakfast-type meal at 5 pm on 85) but no snacks. They have a multitude of snacks in BF, but in Y, they have small bags of pretzels laid out by the bathroom. They don't actually serve a snack though (unless I'm understanding what you're saying about snack incorrectly)

Depends on the C they use. They could go 2-2-2 and use the new BF

There are pluses and minuses to NH's 2-4-2 arrangement, with independent pairs of seats comprising the center four.

A plus is that each center seat has its own armrest, and even perhaps a sliver of space between the armrests.

A potential minus is that on flights with light loads, there will be no more lying down across an entire bank of middle seats.

Why flights with light loads?

And yes, that is nice about both middle seats having their own armrest, as well as the additional space between them.

Good, roomier plane then.

If people would rather get fat with less elbow and leg room on COUA, versus thinner with more room, more power to them.

AC has the worst herringbone seats in star

.
AC has herringbone seats that are VERY Narrow in fact the narrowest seat in Star. they suck compared to UA. Lets hope UA does not go that way.

AC seats were horrible. I could not get comfortable all the way from YVR to SYD. Never again.
