Frequent Flyer Plane Pull Team [2011 Champions!]: UA Family Day @ SFO 10/9/11
After losing to the Boy Scouts (yes, the Boy Scouts ) the first year, Team Flyertalk is now the reigning 2 year champion and I have been “dubbed” this year's team captain but this year it will not be Team Flyertalk nor will it be Team Milepoint but TEAM FREQUENT FLYER!
What we need are 20-25 folks who will commit to pulling the plane at the designated hour (See logistics below). For those of you who have pulled in the past, it will be a little different this year.
I will be receiving the waiver forms in the mail and will be e-mailing them to you for you to complete and e-mail back to me at "dbolaffi at pacbell dot net" (note how I did it ) and please email (no pm's please as your e-mail will also be needed for the “official” team photo)
I will also need your cell phone number as I will send a group text with a 15 minute reminder about the plane pull.
Space is limited so act fast and for those that want to cheer on the team, you are all welcome (and cheerleader outfits and ponytails are encouraged )
Let's show everyone who’s boss!

Logistics
I will e-mail you the waiver form for you sign and e-mail back to me (pdf or jpg) no later than noon on Sunday, October 2nd and please bring the original with you as a back up.
Our pull time is 2:15 PM
All team members must be at the registration desk (near the front of the pull plane -- the one with the long rope attached to her nose gear ) no later than 2PM to make sure that your registration form has been submitted* and that you are on the list.
*I will be submitting all the forms which have been e-mailed back to me but again, please bring your hard copy "just in case"

After being part of the '09 winning team, I missed the window for an invitation to the party so I'll be pulling for Team Frequent Flyer in spirit only.

On another note, I'm 6'5", 250 lb, I work out 4 to 5 days a week, and I'm a Flyertalker. I guess I should be on OUR plane pull team! ^
I look lousy in ponytails and short skirts though, so don't get your hopes up on the attire front.

A housekeeping issue....
For those that have already sent me an e-mail, could you resend it but let me know if you have been "officially invited". It was my bad in not stating that up front as it would "not be a good thing" to have you pull the plane if you didn't get an invite to the event

More housekeeping
Folks-
Thanks
- Please send me an e-mail to the address I noted in the first post with the information requested vs pm's or posting in this thread as that's how I'm going to put together the list of pullers
- For those of you "heading to points south" later on Saturday, I can add that in the past, the pull time has not started "promptly" and throwing in the logistics of getting back to the terminals, there are only three ways to do it......walk, have someone drive you or take the UA employee shuttle and with the first being highly unadvisable if you do not have someone driving you right after the pull and team photo (I don't know which comes first), you're going to need to allow roughly 30 minutes if taking the employee shuttle (it may come sooner but...) so with that, I'd like to ask that if you think you will be cutting it close, to "volunteer" to put yourself on the "PPU" (Plane Pull Upgrade) list so that others who will be attending "thru the duration" don't miss out on a spot on the pull team.
Thanks

We now have 9 plane pullers
Team Frequent Flier now has 9 pullers* (myself plus 8 confirmed pullers whose waiver forms are being emailed as we speak) and 2 confirmed cheerleaders. I've also rec'd e-mails from 2 who are tentative so when you can give me more of a definite, please let me know and I'll send out your waiver form.
*We're gonna need more than that folks so c'mon-it will be best 11.06 seconds of your life......assuming you can beat last year's time that is
2010 Champions
