had the same daytime lhr-atl. The chicken and mushroom pie isnt bad.

If the meals are disappointing have an English breakfast at the clubhouse and a cream tea in the afternoon before landing.

Have the same choice for a flight next week. Thinking maybe butter chicken or the chicken and mushroom pie? Not super inspired by any of it. Was showing sister and she remarked that the thyme and garlic chicken looked like a modified diet for someone with swallowing difficulties. Maybe it tastes better than it looks...

I had that menu on MIA - LHR 2 nights ago, and it was really disappointing.

The salmon starter was ok, but the Asian slaw a bit tasteless.
The chicken main was so salty it was inedible, I sent it back as it was just like having a mouthful of sea water.
The cheese plate was nice, however I thought serving cheese with a mini pot of strawberry jam was a bit strange.

For breakfast I had the peach crepe. Tasted ok, but texture was like the filling had curdled.

All in all I was really disappointed with the food on Virgin. The service however was excellent, and I really liked the new seat on the A330-900 Neo.

My wife had the chicken a couple of days ago and said it was very nice. She detests salty food, so I am sure would have mentioned it.

I had the pork and, although it wasn't the tenderest, it was tasty and a generous portion.

The only slightly negative thing I would say about the food is that the muffin in the breakfast Eggs Royale was rubbery, bordering on inedible.

Is preselection available on all routes in UC?
I am interested specifically in LHR - TLV.
Thanks!

I've got an upcoming SEA LHR flight on premium. I booked through delta. Does anyone know:
a. What the current menu is for the route
b. Whether I can even preorder at all given as I didn't book directly

Perhaps you can help me. I'm flying on Monday night April 24 ATL-LHR.

I was booked originally in Premium but just a couple of days ago upgraded to Upper Class with miles.

Early in the week, when my reservation was still Premium, I received an email asking for my meal choice, and I chose it.

Then SeatSpy sent me a notice that an Upper Class seat had opened up, and I upgraded with miles via Chat.

When I go to my Upper Class booking and try to choose my meal now, the website asks for my record locator number and name.

When I provide it, it proceeds to the select your meal page, but gives me an error.

There are no food choices, just some weird punctuation marks and icons.

I tried to follow up on meal selection via Chat, and was informed that flights that originate in the US don't have preselection of meals.

I find this answer odd, since I just did it at the beginning of the week.

Surely I'm not going to show up to my Upper Class seat and be handed my old Premium meal, am I?

(I've been working too much, getting paranoid here!) Clearly ready for a few days of holiday.

Pre-ordered the lamb, but did not receive. Had the cod instead. It was OK.

Based on this recent UC menu, they should stock Lactaid pills for pax who are dairy-sensitive.

Who in their right mind puts cheese into a poke bowl? It's supposed to be raw/marinated fish!
