YYC - LGW on Dec 31st left passengers on the tarmac 3 hours. Identified "faulty valve" as the problem. What, if any, compensation will passengers affected be entitled to. Thanks.

This thread contains suggestions on how to beg for compensation (normally WS $$):
Waiting period of compensation? Flight cancellation from EU
I might suggest you advise the Minister what happened and the fact that CA laws provide zero protection:

Minister does not care he is too far up the airlines dot dot dot. Protecting consumers is not on Garneaus horizon. What we need is a bill like in the EU anything less is just window dressing. The minister is concerned about the noise A320s make on approach. The same noise they have been making since the late 80's. Now it's a thing.
