Cathay Pacific Spells Its Own Name Wrong in “Special Livery”
Well, this is hilarious.
Oops this special livery won’t last long! She’s going back to the shop!

Apparently the crew working for Cathay Pacific not only managed to spell “Pacific” without an “F,” but managed to get the misspelled sign past several sets of eyes and onto the plane without anyone noticing. It may have gone unnoticed for much longer if a few travelers hadn’t spotted it at Hong Kong International Airport and pointed it out to the airline.
Once corporate got wind of the mistake, bless them, they snapped a few official photos to let us all get a peek at this giant mistake before sending the plane back to the shop. Twitter certainly had a fun time with it:
No one gives a F anymore, not even the painters!

This is unacceptable. If the company is so careless and even spells its own name wrong, who knows how careless it can be? Maybe the next accidents will be caused by carelessness of Cathay Paciic
It wasn't CX spelling the name wrong, it was the contracted paint shop.
Nice to see that CX rather shares a laugh than succumbing to fears of negative PR.
